Lolcat brought attention to himself again, on Jake's shoulder, and Jake instinctively reached up to gently keep the kitten there. The kitten had a hungry glint in his eye, so Jake brought him down and held him securely.
"So... hi..." Jake finished lamely, wondering if Barry had anything to add, but instead ending up referring to that creature that Lolcat was glaring at. "What's that, Professor Morgan?" he asked, remembering her name. Jake loved animals. "Well, I'm so glad you've come. I've been eager to meet all of my new students as well." she said, opening up a small tin that was on her desk and offering him a cookie. Noticing the protective way that he was holding his kitty, Iliana instinctively reached her hand up to Vincent and stroked his tiny head with one finger. "This is Vincent. He's my pet Snidget. I rescued him from the reserve when he was just a baby." she said, smiling happily at the memory.
