Kazimeriz nodded sagely.
"My goodness, child, what you have been through! Perhaps it is fortutious that our letters did not reach each other, then... for how would you know that you were capable of rising like a phoenix from the flames if never touched by fire?" He let her lead him to his chair and sat gently. Oh, how his hip ached.
"I am proud of you for your triumph over adversity."
The small smile and the
look she gave the headmaster did not go unnoticed. Oh dear. He followed her gaze and waited until she looked at him again, shaking his head.
"Alessia, of that I do not approve." he said sternly, glancing to Bontecou and back to her.
