He was so eager it was adorable. "That's alright, we still need a bunch of people cheering for us, anyway" she said, if he couldn't make the team, then he was bound to cheer from the stands, "I may even make you our official cheer-boy" but that was kind of lame, wasn't it? Huh. She'll have to think of something better than that.
Golden boy sounded better. But that's something she'll think about after tryouts.
"I think the feast will be over soon enough for you to get some sleep" she said in a lower tone. It's a good thing they didn't have to climb a bunch of stairs to get to their Common Room.
Chuckling sleepily, Jake invisioned what that could look that in his minds eye. He may have snorted, if his head wasn't drooping forwards, slowly preparing to nosedive into his potatoes.
Then, at the mention of sleep, Jake's head sprang back up again, his eyes wide, and feeling temporarily more alert.
"What, no, why?" At that moment, Jake said one of the more childish things he'd said recently. No, he didn't say it, he
whined it.
"But I'm not tired," Jake whined, laying his arm on the table and resting there for only a second, and letting his eyes droop to stop the lighting- yeah! The lighting! It was wreaking havoc with his eyes... which needed to close... to rest.
Not tired. "Erm, I think I'll just lay like this for a while..." Jake said, stupidly.
