"Yes, I know what you mean" she sighed, that's the one thing she'd been dreading. Kaika was certainly afraid that something went wrong with the ones she knew, because her responsibility was to chose the ones that excelled.
Yes, she'd better have plays planned, that way choosing may be better. Or less confusing.

"That's alright, we still need a bunch of people cheering for us, anyway" she said, if he couldn't make the team, then he was bound to cheer from the stands,

"I think the feast will be over soon enough for you to get some sleep" she said in a lower tone. It's a good thing they didn't have to climb a bunch of stairs to get to their Common Room.
