"I am well aware of the rule concerning first years and brooms and would like to say that I have no broom in my possession. I had thought to get my father to send it to me if I made thw Quidditch team, that is to say after I gained permission." She gave a respectful nod of her head. "At the moment however, my broom remains at my residence in the Carpathians. I can understand if you still wish to take points from me, I will not argue. I simply wished to clear up this small misunderstanding."

Rachel got up from the table after excusing herself and followed the girl, determined to get to her before she got to Professor What's-his-Name. She sighed and halted as she saw she was too late and turned like she was going to go and walked ever so slowly so that she could hear the exchange between them.
What she heard angered her beyond the normal. Rachel waited until the Professors had left and then doubled back and made her way to the first year with a stern gaze.
"Miss, no matter how unfair the Professor was, you cannot just walk up to them and explain yourself whenever you want. If the Professor had wished to hear an explanation, he would have asked for one. The points have already been lost, and you just made the matter worse," Rachel said, looking down disapprovingly at the girl, more annoyed than usual because of the forming headache. She sighed and massaged her temples with closed eyes, trying to lessen the pain and concentrate.
"What is your name, Miss?" she asked, not ceasing her actions. This headache is going to be the death of me... She bit her lip from crying out loud as a fresh stab of pain erupted in her head, feeling like a bomb inside her very brain.
"You know what? Never mind. I said what I had to say to you. Please, when you talk to him, remember to act with the utmost respect and dignity. And for Merlin's sake, please don't argue with the guy," she said, her face contorted with pain.
She turned and slowly walked back to the table, careful not to jolt or do something that would trigger off the eruptions.
