Well... it was true, but Jake meant no malice to go with that statement. Dominic offered the young first year a weak smile at his reluctance to speak back. Especially at his words in making Hufflepuff proud. It was best to make an attempt at showing his responsibilities, right? "Not a problem and I do expect great things from every badger," he replied, as his eyes flickered over towards that Daphne girl talking with another Gryffindor and the young boy who nearly bit his ear off. That kid better not have been sorted into Hufflepuff... "Me?" Dominic arched a dark eyebrow, turning back towards the first year. "Well then, the ringing in my ears must have been real." Not that he was really surprised since he was quite amazing, naturally. Quote:

She turned away from him, then back to Jake, waiting for his reply. But then Dominic just came strolling over and sat next to Jake. He really just refuses to go away doesn't he? "Not really, Dominic. Just Quidditch, and I really dont see how it concerns you."
Allie blushed a little against her will, and nudged Jake in the ribs very hardly once he had said they were talking about him. "Well not really you. Jake here came over to make sure I was alright, and that you didn't hurt me, then the topic changed to quidditch." That was when the girl decided to pick up about the apology bit once more. "It's polite to do a lot of things, which we've obviously overlooked. So what's the difference in overlooking one more about the apology?" the fifth year questioned back, arching his brows at the third year, whose name he still did not know.
"Oh? Not really? Obviously you and Jake seem to have different views on what the topic is..." his golden eyes flickering between the two young ones. "But hey, if it's quidditch, you do know that I love the sport." Perhaps one of the few sports he enjoyed, but that was besides the point. Quote:

Ah yes, now he knew that it was real, he had realised that the time his grandfather took him off secretly to watch a game, had been real, and not a dream. Lies! It's all lies! Jake stared at Allie as she contradicted his own statement and told an outright porky! Erm... lie. "No-" Jake started to say, but then he recieved a jab to the ribs which sent him into spasms, as it had been quite unexpected. "OUCH!" he cried out. "What was that for?! I only told him how we were speaking about him!" Jake turned to look at Dominic, feeling betrayed. Help a poor li'l puff in need.
Urgh... what was he doing?! Dominic looked over again at Jacob when he stated he planned to tryout. Oh good, the hufflepuff captain would be pleased. The captain whom he could have sworn was Kaika, but still not officially confirmed since they hadn't spoken other than in the Quidditch Shop. Oh well. "YOU!" Dominic glared at the girl, when he saw her jab Jacob in the side. Ugh - Gryffindors could be so vicious. "Don't you dare physically abuse my Badgers. Ever." Perhaps a bit sharp on the young girl, but for once in his life, he felt powered and needed to defend a fellow puff, no matter how annoying. Quote:

Dominic cranked his head towards the Daphne and mini rabid Crocker end of the table as a very very old man schloffed along and took five points from the rabid Crocker for threatening another student with physical violence. Of which of course the little annoying lisp kid had a rebuttal about doing nothing.
Ugh.
Rising to the occasion, Dominic gave a look that he'd be right back towards Jacob and the girl, before marching over towards the little Crocker, despite his dislike for the little brat. "You!" Dominic blurted out towards the little boy. "Do not ever speak like that to a professor again! No matter if it was deserved or not, he still had authority and you could get expelled ... or worse!" He sighed and looked back at the old man, biting his lip and hoping he had done the right thing as prefect.
"Now what is your house table?" he asked turning back towards the rabid brat. "I'll see to it that you return there at once until you can behave properly."
