"He wouldn't have known," She admitted, explaining, "This morning before we left, my older sister gave me this icky medicine stuff for a slight cold and it made me tired; I decided to sit with my brothers, and ended up falling asleep." her cheeks warming at the end. It was the first time she had ever fallen asleep on the train, or any train. She was always much to excited.

Not that she wasn't excited. By far, she was. This was seventh year. And on the train, sitting with her brother-in-law and twin brother, there had also been Tonya - her brother's friend that she hadn't meet until now. "Oh! I forgot," Savannah said, pointing to the shiny, new badge on the fifth years robes. "Congratulations, Captain!"
Oh. Poor Vannah, she was feeling sick before. Yikes! She remembered that medicine her grandma used to make her...those things do not taste any good, no matter what others say.

"You weren't the only one falling asleep on the train" she said, with a small smile, she had gotten a good share of sleep, but not too much, just an hour and some more. She still didn't know why Vannah was suddenly ashamed of falling asleep on the train, but it really wasn't a big deal for Kaika.

And...she did notice. Her smile widened slightly, "Thanks, Vannah!" she said, if Vannah was not trying out this time, she knew that she'll be their most beloved fan from the stands.

"I've read so much about Quidditch, and haven't had much first hand experience," Jake admitted. "I'm a bigger reader, to be brutally honest... I'm into knowledge..." Jake was surprised he wasn't a Ravenclaw to tell the choice, but maybe it was because he always aimed too high or simply his Hufflepuff traits were alot stronger. He'd not told anyone that he planned to take every class he possibly could, but it was only a matter of time. May as well ask.

"What classes are you taking?" Jake queried. "If- if you don't mind me asking, of course..."
"Yes, Kaika" she said, with a nod, he seemed to be trying to remember everyone's name. Not that it was necessary, for they still had time to further introductions. Or maybe the reason behind it was that Kaika, too, forgot names very often, so she couldn't possibly be upset about someone not remembering her name. Unless it was someone she'd met for quite a while.

Oh, this kid was sweet, "Well, it is true that Quidditch is more than books...but you may have flying in your veins, who knows? You may even be a natural at it" a small wink to the little first year followed her words. She was so happy to see someone that likes Quidditch even if he'd never played it before...it was...refreshing. Knowledge? "As I said before, Quidditch is more than books, but it is also more than a plain sport" only Merlin knew how many books she'd read about Quidditch, and the plays explained in those were simply brilliant. Even if it's execution may turn out to be hard to follow.

His next question surprised her, "I don't mind" she smiled, "The mandatory classes, of course" she said, nodding, "And Arithmancy, which I love, plus Divination..." and she planned on getting better at it, maybe it could help her with Quidditch too.

If Quidditch doesn’t work for me, I wan’t to still be eligible for a Curse Breaker at Gringotts.” He said with a firm nod, that would be a interesting job as well.

Nodding to Kaika’s response to Dominic, he absentmindedly looked around the great hall in pursuit of the now fifth year Hufflepuff. “Where is that boy, anyway?” Curt asked, “I never saw him on the train either.”
Ha. It was good to see someone so set on his future. Kaika was still unsure of what path she'll like to follow. Though, working with dragons was certainly fascinating...she still wasn't sure. And her father might not like that either. "Oh, that's really good" and very hard, Professor Shackleton might know something about that. Of course she does, she worked at Gringotts before, right?

Kaika shrugged, "I don't know...he left the table" she said, that was a fact she found out when Miranda pointed Dominic out.

"Thank you" she said again, hoping to count for the Huffie's assistance to the tryouts, and laughed at the face the second year made when she mentioned that the practices were going to be harder.

"Yes..." she said, grinning, "...Harder, indeed" she added, and was pleased to know that this little Huffie had no problems with it. Oh, it was so great to be surrounded by people who loved Quidditch. She was still in need to read the last book she'd bought this summer, and then off to planning new plays. If she planned the plays before the tryouts, then it may be easier to know whom to choose.

Kaika took a sip from the cup in her hand. Pumpkin juice, what else?
