She couldn't help to laugh softly at the boy's face, it reminded her of her own brother, Trey didn't like pumpkin juice either, but they did share an obsession for chocolate frogs and muffins.
"Yes, not everyone likes pumpkin juice....I do, but my brother doesn't...either way, you can still have any kind of juice you want" she said, pointing at several jugs in the table.
"I suppose in time I might get used to it," Jake reasoned. It seemed to be the Pepsi or Coca-Cola of the wizarding world.
"I'm not a lover of juices," Jake smiled, biting his lip.
"At home I'd have fizzy drinks or water." Sigh. Seems his hyperactive days were over.

Con Man Curt grinned at the kid as he asked if the Fat Friar was nice. He certainly thought so, he’d never actually spoken with the ghost, but he was notorious for being the friendliest of the ghosts, or at least right up there with Sir Nicolas. “Yeah, he’s great.” Curt said, hoping to ease the boys tension.
The little first year took a sip of his pumpkin juice and made a nasty face in reacion. That was a little unexpected, Pumpkin juice was delicious. “You don’t like it?” He said in shock, they kid seemed to be new to it. Maybe he was muggleborn? “You are officially the only person I know that doesn’t like pumpkin juice.” Curt shook his head and laughed, the only thing that topped it was butterbeer and firewhisky. Noticed that he hadn’t even introduced himself yet, Curt put his hand out. “I’m Curt by the way.”
Before he knew it, a more familiar voice rang out from his left. Ah! It was Kaika, fellow Hufflepuff Quidditch teammate. They were going to be a tough team this year, even though Punzie was gone, they were still going to be a strong force. “Hey Kaika!” He said with a big grin, “I’m doing great, a little tired, but good.” He said with a nod, he had been up all night with his brother playing exploding snap, thankfully he caught up on a little bit of his sleep on the express. "What about you?" He asked, feeling more at home by the minute.
Later, but reliable, that was very true indeed. “Right.” Curt said in response with a small grin as he took a another drink of the orange liquid. Kaika asked if he noticed anything new, and right as she said that Curt’s suspisions were confirmed. Of course Kaika was appointed captain! She was the perfect choice, no doubt. Her captain badge fitted her very well, and Curt nodded his head in appreciation, smiling vibrantly. “I knew it!” Curt said, giving Kaika a big smile. “Congrats! You are gonna do awesome.” He said with a confident nod, “It really is about time we take the cup back, eh?” That had been SO close the past few years.
Nodding, Jake hoped that was true. He'd been watching that Slytherin ghost and he was glad he wouldn't have to be judged to see if he was worthy of his house like what was happening with Cameron. And by the looks of it, Cameron was failing.
"I just think it's the new stuff," Jake shrugged.
"Bit too much change for one day, although juice flavours seems a bit bizarre to be classed as a big change."
Whoa.... hold up. Quidditch captain?
Jake span round to the girl.
"You're Quidditch captain for this house? I was going to try-out," he announced, for no apparent reason.
"It seems brilliant."
