Miranda was on her second helping of sausage. At home, Father would never have let her eat so much in a sitting, even on holidays! She was looking around the table with fascination...so many new faces. While knowing eavesdropping was not polite, she couldn't help but listen to as much of the conversations around her as possible. She sighed and mumbled to her plate "I miss my brother."
Amanda noticed a girl mumbling to her plate, she raised her left eyebrow curiously but she wasn't going to put her foot in her mouth and be a total idiot. She figured that this girl must be new and was shy and she sorta knew what that was like.
"Hi there, the name's Amanda Lesalle, 3rd year." She said, with a smile to the girl. She liked to introduce herself nicely to the new students so as to not scare them away.
