I'm not sure... it was just... there. I mean, it couldn't have just appeared there out of no where... that's the first exception to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. It says so in our Transfiguration book. Maybe it was magicked onto the plates from somewhere beneath us? Cadence hated it when she didn't have the answer to something.
