Somehow, in all the shuffling at the station, Copernicus had managed to give his father a handshake, ducked away from Plymouth's mother and her desire to kiss his cheek in public, and make it onto the train... without Plymouth. It wasn't ideal to be here cramming his trunk into the first empty car he found, but it gave Plymouth a chance to make more friends and Copernicus could catch up on his reading. He pulled out a book and flipped through it idly.
