"Isn't it always?" Rian asked seriously, but shrugged.
"I think it would be eventful if nothing happened," she joked. A faint sound came from under her seat, and she leaned down...coming face-to-face with her kitten, who was staring right at her. Rian laughed and unhooked the animal carrier, picking up her kitten and setting her in her lap, then closed the carrier again.
