"Oh, sorry," Mariel laughed at how rude she was for not introducing her friend. "This is my friend Sarah," she said to the two newcomers. "She's in my year, but in Hufflepuff." Turning to Sarah, she added, "And this is Lasca. This is her first year."

Taking Apollo's cage from Lasca's hands, she set him down next to Pandora, then relaxed herself back down into her seat. Turning to Lasca, she said, "I'm very good, thanks. You?" Grinning as she glanced out the window for any sign the train would be moving soon, the young Ravenclaw clapped her hands together once shortly before saying, "I'm really anxious to get back to school. I bet you're excited too?"
