As he sidled into the compartment, Jake felt the need to hold his cat's mouth shut... but that would be cruel. Instead, he removed Lolcat from his shoulder and lowered him into his large inside pocket in his jacket. The loud though muffled MEW...MEW...MEW...-ing, was soon cut off, as the kitten fell asleep with his head just about poking out.

"Sorry about that," he smiled slightly. "Lolcat never shuts up."

As Jake took a seat free from animals and people, he introduced himself properly. "I'm Jake Upstead... not Blackly anymore, like I think I introduced myself as to you," he added, looking towards Kiri. "I'm a first year." Sitting back a little more, Jake listened to the start of the conversation until it concerned him, trying to ignore the rustling in his packet which meant that Lolcat obviously felt he'd already slept enough that day.
