Isabella climbed the stairs again to the owlery. She looked around and spotted Albania. She gave a short whistle and her owl flew to sit next to her. Isabella pet the bird's soft feathers and gave her some treats from the pocket of her robes. She then pulled out an envelope addressed to her parents along with the letter she had yet to put inside.

I do hope all is well with you. My classes are going splendidly. I even managed to receive points for correct answers during my first charms lesson. I also did as you asked and have been speaking with Biff Harrington. He is a rather charming boy and he isn't too bad looking either. How is it he and I have not met before now? I'm rather surprised that the Harringtons have not visited us at some point. Perhaps that could be arranged at some point during the school break. No other major news to report missing. I have Quidditch tryouts this week so hopefully I will make the team. It would be amazing.
It is time for me to go now. I need to get back to studying. I hope to hear from you both soon. Mother, please send more truffles. Father, please send some books on Quidditch. Thank you and I love you both.

Isabella folded the letter and put it in the envelope before tying it to the owl's leg. "Albania, please take this to my father." The owl gave an understanding hoot and was off, leaving Isabella to walk back to the common room, lost in her thoughts and suddenly quite homesick.
