Livvy decided that she had procastinated long enough. She should do it now. The first year walked towards her barn owl and pet it. "Hello... Sorry I haven't visited," Livvy whispered to her owl, who she called Fwapper. Well... it was a nickname. Fwapper had no real name yet.

Dear Mari,

I'm doing fine at Hogwarts. Sorry I haven't written sooner. So... the owl's dropping this letter off at the Post Office which should bring it straight to you. Brilliant isn't it? I know how much you dislike birds and plus, Fwapper would never make it overseas.

Anyway, my stay here at Hogwarts so far has been wonderful. You were right. Hogwarts is definitely amazing. Classes have been great and they have a library that's about four times our house!

Livvy placed the note into an envelope and tied the envelope to Fwapper. She then picked Fwapper up and sent him to fly. She watched the owl fly away until he was just a small little dot.
