It's about 12:46 in the afternoon, and I am sitting on the kitchen counter in my sister, Emmylyne and her husband Axel's house, in spain. Yeah, I know I shouldn't be sitting where I am, but if I sat at the table it's very likely that you - Mister Journal - would be covered in food. You see not in the literal sense, I'm not insane.., since I don't get much time with my family except during the summer I asked Emmy and Ax if it was okay that Petra, their nanny, take the week off and let me watch my nieces and nephew while they're at work.
To explain the food part, it's lunch time, obviously. Ember and Colton will be turning two in six months, and are already trying to be independent and feed themselves. Or rather, Emb doesn't like it when I tried to help her and Lainie is helping Cole whenever he can't get the spoon into his mouth with the mushy banana cream baby food still on it.
Hold on, gotta get LaihLaih a cookie like I told her she could have after she finishes her sandwhich.
Twenty minutes later and I'm back. Hehe. The twins were done which meant cleaning them and their highchairs up, now I've got them settled. Cole in his swing, and Embie's wandering around here in the living room in her walker while Lainie sits infront of me on the floor with her elbows pressed against the coffee table drawing a picture of her two best friends, Kovu and Dominique.
Sooo yeah, not much out of the ordinary has happened so far. I spent a few days at home, and then came here and plan to spend a full week, which includes a weekend; I'll get to see Ems and Ax more properly, when their not running around as if their pants caught fire. Okay, not seriously but they are both pretty busy. I understand why, too. Of course they would be! Axel is an auror, and Emmy is a healer. Not to mention parents of three kids, all under the age of five years old. I have to admit, they almost make it look easy. I've never once heard either complain about the busy lifestyle either.
Anyways, I wonder how Nikolas, Jasmine and the kids are. I haven't heard from them, yet. Summer has just begun so there's plenty of time, surely I'll see them sooner or later before my last year of school. Geeze, doesn't that make me sound old? Seventeens not old though, sure I'll be eighteen right before graduation, and it is of legal wizarding age, but still!
The good thing is, I know exactily what I want to do career wise. So does Lex, and Dusty, and everyone else. Most of everyone else, anyways. I think. Hmm. Yeah.
Speaking of school, at the end of term it was announced that Headmistress Rae and Professor Lainey (one of the coolest Professors EVER) won't be returning with us in september; Professor Rae said they were asked to come back to being aurors, and that Hogwarts was safe and now it was time to help make the world a safer place..
I'll definitely miss them. There's no questions on that matter. It makes me wonder who else won't be returning, you know we often have Professors leaving and coming. Personally, I'm okay with that. It's better that they came and left, no matter how soon, then not to have come at all. I've learned tons of things from every single Professor that has taught during my six years of education, and I'm very greatful to have gotten to meet them. It was worth it. I've also learned alot from friends, but we'll talk about that another day. I need to warm up some bottles and put kids down for a nap; Dusty and Rocco should be home anytime now.
