"Wait, let me get this straight... you need... my badger claw... for a potion? B-b-but it's part of my plaque... well, it was, anyway. Before I thr-... uh, dropped it and it broke."

Macadrian looked into the faces and saw the hope in their expressions and she simply couldn't refuse them. Besides, if the Headmistress heard about all the commotion Mac had caused, she might not be asked to be the Hufflepuff Head of House next term, and then what good was having the plaque? As a reminder of all the things her illness caused her to lost? Macadrian shook her head in reply to her inner monologue and answered with a sigh, "It is all yours. I don't deserve it anymore, anyway. Good luck with your potion. I hope you get to the bottom of this treasure hunt."

With a dejected look upon her face, Professor Shackleton crouched down and picked up the badger claw in her hand. She extended it toward the students. "Here you are."
Nicholai took the claw from her solemnly and cleared his throat.

"Professor, how can you say you don't deserve it? I'd be proud to have you as our head of house; I just consider us lucky that we at least get to have you as our Arithmancy Professor." he paused and looked around the room, before turning back to Shackleton and politely nodding to her, "Thank you. For this and for a great term." He nodded again and looked at Evangeline, indicating they shoud probably leave.
