Turning around on the spot towards Melanie and Angelica, Lorraine's hazel eyes were widened with shock. "Angelica. Melanie. Just head off if this level now and back to level six, I'll be there shortly," she told them, as she now had to discuss with Blaze first, who knew more about portkeys than she did, as her specialty lay in apparition detection.
Oh, good, Lorraine had noticed her and Angelica's shouting. Hopefully
she would know what to do now. Glancing to her left Melanie made sure that both Angelica and Jack were still with her and that they hadn't lost each other. Phew. At least something was working out the way it should unlike the whole International Wizarding Conference which had actually started off pretty nice but now it was just creepy.
Seeing Lorraine's alarmed expression Melanie immediately started feeling anxious. What was wrong? Apart from the fact that some weird woman had threatened the Minister's wife and all but it seemed that her boss was shocked by something else as well. Nodding once at Lorraine to tell her that she'd understood her order Melanie's attention turned back towards Jack and Angelica. Her blue eyes were still full of worry and anxiety as she said,
"Okay, let's get going then. Off to the 6th floor." Hopefully everything was going to be alright again.
