Lucas just looked up at him. What was his problem? There was no reason to just be nasty for the sake of trying to appear tough. The boy was clearly a very unhappy person, and it was sad to be so young and so unhappy, and then to take pleasure in making others unhappy just baffled Lucas.
"Well if what I said didn't effect you, you wouldn't be getting so upset." He pointed out to him.
"And my name is Lucas, Lucas Greenwood." He wasn't going to let that boy bully him. He packed up his things to move to another desk. He didn't need that sort of negativity in his life. His mother always told him misery loved company and Lucas' dance car was already full.
"I hope you have a nice day sir. Everyone deserves a smile once in awhile." He said before moving to another desk across the room.

Lucas happily waited his turn to pick out a costume. He loved playing dress up. It was fun and his dad had some cool things to dress up in. Lucas liked his daddy's leather jacket. It smelled like his dad and it was always warm. He went over to the trunk and jumped into. He dug around and around looking for something that represent him. "I found it!" He cried climbing out of the trunk and wiggling into his
costume. He looked down at himself and laughed himself silly at what he was wearing. He skipped back to his desk to write his mommy a letter about what they were doing in class. She would love this, he thought to himself.
