“This,” the professor said, “is something muggles call a ‘Garden Gnome.’”
Charlie, who was carefully sneaking Every Flavor Beans from his pocket to his mouth (and trying not to gag when he got a gross flavor), looked up. Compared to the potato headed pests in the garden at home, these things could hardly be called gnomes. It looked dwarf-ish, but also outrageous in its bright colored clothing and pointed red hat. The thing was shiny, made of something muggles called ‘plastic.’
“Muggles buy these,” the professor continued, “for their gardens; seeing them as ornaments, rather than pests like wizarding gnomes.”
