She was distracted again as Kayla started talking. "Nico! Yes!" she said happily, smiling. Wow, that had been a hard one- she couldn't believe she had not thought of that sooner.
Then her smile slipped. Nico. As in this was Kayla. THE Kayla that he had told her about..... oops. "I mean, yeah." she added with a slightly subdued tone. "I'm very sorry about what's happened with the two of you."

Turning her eyes back to the pitch, she realized that the match was over. Hopefully Slytherin would do better in the second round.
Kayla watched Evolette's facial expressions as she realised that their mutual acquaintance was Nicholai. She wondered what Nico had told Evolette about her because going by her reaction and what she had just said, she definitely knew of her.
"So am I" Kayla responded softly. "You know you have to be the first girl that knows Nico, besides Nikki of course that I actually don't feel threatened by" she shrugged. "I don't know what it is but I feel comfortable with you and know that you're not trying to sink your claws into him. Not that it's any of my business anymore who's trying to sink their claws in" she looked at Evolette and she couldn't speak for the older girl but she had a feeling that they could actually be friends.
