As he came into view of the lifts, it took all of Snape's talents to keep the satisfied smirk from faltering at the sight of the insufferable witch awaiting the lift. He did not generally consider his colleagues to be insufferable but, this witch had managed to insult him twice in just a brief few minutes in what should have been a casual, friendly, chat. However, Snape wasn't an immature student so, he gave her a short bow in greeting before turning to face the lift, standing as if at attention in an army. It was probably out of habit from the hours of standing around in the presence of the Dark Lord.
