Snape walks into the Forbidden Forest looking for Hagrid. He’s feeding his thestrals.

“May I have a word with you?” Severus can’t hide his discomfort being around the thestrals.

“What can I do for you Professor Snape?” Hagrid asks.

“It has come to my attention that you are teaching your seventh year class about thestrals,” Snape says. “They are not on the Ministry of Magic’s approved list of Magical Creatures.”

“Thestrals aren’t dangerous sir,” Hagrid replies. “They just get a bad rap because wizards can’t normally see them.”

“They are vile creatures,” Snape says. “You cannot use them in class!”
