Samantha smiled and sat down quickly, realizing that the ceremonies were truly starting this time. "The Minister will be speaking soon, then the foreign dignitaries," she whispered. "That's Reagan Taylor, Undersecretary to the Minister. She's a very important person, and is really responsible for putting this whole conference together." Deep admiration and reverence for Ms. Taylor were evident in her voice.
Jake listened to what she said, nodding. He blushed a bit and added to her words,
"Thanks. If it wasn't for you, it wouldn't have ever happened!" And this was indeed the exact truth. He would always and forever be grateful for what she did.

He plopped down next to her and looked up at the stage where Samantha was pointing. He saw a woman there, and according to Samantha, she was the undersecretary to the Minister.
Wow, talk about being important! Even Samantha admires her, he thought as he caught the tone of her voice.
"I take off my hat for her then. She really did an excellent job with this conference." he said, still looking at the woman.
And she's so young, too!
