Samantha walked up to the food table and began to help herself to some fruit along with a few of her favorite pastries. Pouring herself a cup of tea with milk and one sugar, she returned to her seat to await the commencement of the speeches. She nodded to a few people she recognized including a few of her own employees, most notably Jake and Lucy. Somehow they had managed to beat her here, but that was no surprise. At least she had made it here on time, before everything started.
