Patricia had stayed a bit behind the clutter of students that had gone toward the Clabberts and had to laugh at the reactions that the gentle creatures had elicited from them. Shaking her head, she took a few steps toward the nearest one, smiling as had instructed the professor.
She went down on her knees, hoping that being a bit lower to the ground would be less threatening to the little creature that stood a few meters away. She took her sketch pad in hand and started to draw a rough outline, details being added later on. Not trying to pay too much attention to the Clabbert, it eventually came forward, listening to the scratching she was producing with her pencil. As she continued sketching, a smile still on her lips, she took into account the different textures of the green skin and the pustule atop its head. It was really interesting to see from close-up rather than in a picture book. The teeth were quite daunting to see though... but they were pacific creatures on the whole, so she wasn't unduly worried about it.
She saw that the Clabbert was now very close to her, so she reached out, showing it the back of her hand rather than her open palm. It gave her hand a sniff hesitantly, but didn't step away, which made Patricia beam with happiness. She finally got to pet the little guy... girl... she wasn't sure about what sex it was. She wondered a bit about it as she touched its green skin.
Seeing that the class was finally over, she took back her hand and stepped away slowly from the creature. She gave her sketch a once over and took it back to where the teacher was still standing and gave it in.
