He walked over to see where she was. "Ah, no. That part of the instruction is for if you didn't have time to brew it up all at once. You can stop at this point and resume following the instructions at a later time. Some potions allow stopping points and others require you to brew it continuously until done or it will spoil," he explained and looked up as someone entered the classroom.

After the seventh step was complete, Anna removed her potion from the heat and stirred until she noticed black streaks begin to appear. Hmmm...had she done it? Had she successfully made the potion? Who knew. Maybe the professor would come along soon and verify.
