It wasn't low cut but it was elegant enough to be appropriate. She then took a minute to make sure that her mind was safe and protected. With all the people that were sure to be there, she didn't want to have to deal with the headache that would follow listening to them all. The lift finally came to a stop and the doors opened.
Rowan entered the large room and took a moment to enjoy the sight. Quite a few people were already here and talking. Others were gathered around the food table. And she saw still others were sitting in chairs off to the side. The decorations were amazing. Rowan looked around to try and see if she recognize anyone. Finally, she spotted Teal her department head. With slow, deliberate steps she made her way through the crowd to where Teal was standing.
He was talking to two other woman and had a small glowing crate at his feet. "Hello Teal. I'm sorry that I'm late. I had some last minute paperwork to file before I could leave the office. How are you?" Right as he finished his sentence with Reagan, he whipped around with a grin on his face as he recognized one of his new employee’s. Rowan Cromwell, she was good, very good, at what she did. “No worries Rowan.” He said with a small grin, “Paperwork,” Teal muttered, “Doesn’t really get much worse than that does it?” he asked with a wry grin. Through all of Teals years in the workplace, there was nothing he dreaded more than paperwork.
Looking around he noticed a loud, southern drawl and recognized the overly friendly woman as the American Minister. He’d attempt to avoid that woman, but he was surely going to have to talk to her at one moment or another. “I’m great.” He said with Rowan, nodding. “Just glad we got everything ready in time. You nervous for the conference?” he asked, knowing the importance of it all. He knew she’d be ready though, hard worker indeed.
