Oh great, they had to practice on each other and Lucas didn't have a partner. He looked around. No one was paying him any attention as they were starting to practice with each other. Could he practice by himself? He went back over near the wall so he wouldn't be int he way. People practicing spells was dangerous enough without being in the middle of it.
While waiting for Nate's answer, the first year spotted someone else without a partner hanging around near the wall. He looked around her age, so she waved to get his attention before gesturing for him to join them.
'You don't mind, do you?' Mina asked Nate.
'It's not like he can't practice it. That's not the point of the lesson.'
