Rachel thought for a moment before replying, "The three qualities assign the signs into quadruplets which means that there are three groups of four signs in each group. They are the Cardinal signs - Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, the Fixed signs - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius and the Mutable signs - Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
"The Cardinal signs, also known as moveable signs, are associated with induction and originality. Anyone with Cardinal qualities will be impulsive, restless, organized and a natural leader. However cardinal signs can be inconsiderate, controlling, stubborn, selfish and demanding, as they feel their way is the best and what others should follow.
"The Fixed signs are associated with stamina, perseverance and strength and said to be inert by nature. However, they are also associated with inflexibility and are thought to be determined, powerful, natural leaders, purposeful, reliable, loyal and self-confident but also occasionally stubborn and immovable, with a tendency to get stuck in ruts.
"The Mutable signs, also known as bicorporal, double-bodied or common signs, are associated with change and flexibility as well as resourcefulness, holism and adaptability. They are thought to have a gift at seeing both sides of a situation and an immense desire for knowledge, variety and new ideas, seldom have any particular agenda and are perfectly happy to fill in an assigned role. However, they are also said to be inconsistent, changeable, nervous, indecisive and irresponsible, with a tendency to get wrapped up in tiny particulars."
