"Actually, you'd be surprised. Many potions and those with inverse effects have similar or even the same ingredients. It's how they're used that makes the difference. That's why attention to detail, especially at this and NEWT level is critical. Sometimes just one stir in the wrong direction can be catastrophic (though not to the potions we'll be brewing).

"Now, everyone should take out their cauldrons and I'll post up the instructions. We'll talk a bit more about the ingredients later on."

And with that, he flicked his wand and words appeared on the chalkboard.

* add 3 rat eyes
* remove from heat and stir until black streaks appear
