In that moment the Gryffindor girl chucked the parchment into the bin and made her way to her seat, which made Evangeline nod thankfully at her. Though she would have enjoyed it if she had lost house points.

Cough.

"She was clearly eavesdropping, Cale." She said to her fellow Prefect, refraining from telling commenting on how his hair was making it hard for him to see. Eh. It was all okay now, anyway, and she wouldn't make matters worse.

With a warm smile in Clifford's direction at his words, she turned away from Cale. "It's quite alright, Cliffie. Prefect Cale was simply sticking up for his House." Hah. When Cale told him that himself, Evangeline rolled her eyes to the boy's obliviousness and patted Clifford's hand reassuringly.
Cale blinked and looked around at Astrid. Hmmm...maybe she WAS eavesdropping. He wouldn't have known, having been peacefully studying his book the whole time. "Astrid! That's not polite!" he whispered to her. He wasn't disappointed in her or anything, but he knew that if Astrid got caught, him AND Evangeline would get in trouble. "In that case, sit down and just read your book or something."

He pointed to her seat nearby him and smiled at her a little. As soon as she sat down, she'd realize she could hear everything perfectly fine if she just kept quiet. And Clifford stopped running his mouth, which he seemed to have settled upon. Tee hee.

Aww, too late. Shackleton had walked back into the room, looking a teensy bit better than before. Cale just kept his eyes on his book. Would she continue the lesson or let them out early? His bed sounded VERY comfortable right now, and he could use a nap...
