Mari looked up from her first slightly successful attempt at performing Sinistra Lumina non-verbally to see Nico. He looked a bit irked about the whole class, but even so, she was trying to avoid being distracted by him again. That and the whole photo debacle...well, it made her feel slightly embarrassed every time she was around him.
She wanted to help him though, as this was another of her favored subjects, yet she thought he looked like he didn't really want the help.
So, Mari turned to her own practicing again, keeping the light longer with each try to see how much it would take her to concentrate to keep it up.
Asteira looked over at mari who seemed to be focused on something else. She smiled at mari as she then asked her." Hows it going?" she actually meant more than that but she would bug her more about it later." Having any success with the spell?" she was finished with her wand at the moment so she moved to twist her hair and use it to keep her hair up." Anything exciting?" just as she asked she saw the professor do a nose dive. Or something like it. she looked to see something coming out of the cage." Oh man...Those things smell bad." she commented mainly to herself.
