Cale looked around. A few people, including the girl next to him, seemed to have started practicing yet. Cale wasn't exactly ready for that yet--wand movements gave him a little trouble sometimes. He picked up his wand and just practiced the movement. Swish, flick, point. Swish, flick, point. Cool. He could do that.
Until the wand slipped from his hand and accidentally fell with a loud clatter on his desk. Oops. Blushing, he picked it up again and practiced his wand movement as if nothing mortifying had just happened.
