Draco leafed through the textbook, curiosity and greed darkening his usually light-grey eyes. No wonder Potter had been getting praise and top marks in Potions this year, he thought, with a book like this at his disposal…

If only he knew that his precious Potions textbook wasn’t so safe after all. Draco grinned to himself at the thought of Harry’s expression were he to find that the Room of Requirement was not such a safe place after all.

Not if one knew where to look and what for, anyway.

Draco paused, listening closely. It seemed as though someone was pacing just outside the door, possibly wanting to gain access themselves…

The blonde stood up, wand at the ready, facing the door. He would not be caught unawares this time, no matter who may be on the other side. Potter managed to catch him off guard once, but it would not happen again. Next time they’d face each other, the Slytherin would certainly not come off worse.

And maybe I’ll even use your trick against you, the thought, glancing down at the open book and reading the scribbled writing. “Sectumsempra, was it?
