Looking at her he continued "Actually I gained twenty points for doing my Muggle Studies homework. Are you always like this or is today just a bad day for Little Miss Perfect?" he said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice
Mariel's grin turned into a slight frown. She was a bit disappointed. He did seem so easily annoyed outside of class as well. And here she was being so friendly...
"Am I always like what, exactly?" Mariel looked at him quizzically. She couldn't quite figure out what he was so angry about.
"Just why are you yelling? I mean, I was trying to be friendly, coming over here and saying hello." Friendliness certainly was not her strong suit although she would make occassional attempts... in her own way of course. Mariel thought for a moment.
"It's not about the points is it? Surely you can't still be upset over my comment earlier... Although I do find it quite interesting that you know the exact total of all the House points, even I don't know that." She watched him curiously for a moment. Mariel was one to easily get over things, usually anyway, so it was beyond her understanding that anyone could continue to be upset over one silly comment she made previously.
Then he said something to make her snicker.
"Little Miss Perfect huh?" Mariel thought for a moment, then nodded. Of course he wouldn't know her name either.
"I kinda like that. You may continue to call me that if I can keep calling you Gryffie Boy... provided you lose the sarcasm." Mariel raised her eyebrow speculatively at him.
