Horses Forever! l l Writer for Life l Yearbook alumnus Irritated 34. Protego
Draco stuffed books back into his bag angrily, irritated by the noise a group of first-years nearby were making. His mood did not improve as he ran into somebody around the corner. Somebody with vivid red hair.
“Watch where you’re going, weasel,” he spat at Ron, who’s ears immediately began to grow pink.
“Learn some manners, ferret!” Ron reconciled.
Despite knowing that he was doing the wrong thing, Draco began drawing his wand, irritated no end by the use of this hated and unflattering nickname he had been given. But Ron was faster.
“Petrificus Totalus!” the redhead yelled.
Just in time, Draco raised his own wand and muttered the shielding spell. The Protego couldn’t have left his lips sooner as the other spell bounced off the invisible shield.
Smirking, he raised an eyebrow at the Gryffindor, as if daring him to try another spell.
Everyone knew that Draco’s shields were the strongest in the school; Ron didn’t stand a chance.
