Pffft! Self defence? Surely as witches and wizards they did not need to know muggle style self defence... They could use magic for Merlin's sake! DADA was far more useful than this nonsense. And what was all that confusing stuff about coloured... belts? Even with a text book under her nose Emily was confused.
