Kate grinned, and though she was fifteen she had the energy and air of a cute, excited five year old. She dove under the chair, giggling all the while.
"How've ya been, Ness!" she said loudly, looking up at the girl as her fingers squirmed around under the chair, trying to catch him.

She laid her head flat, her eyes catching sight of the creatures shadow. She quickly grabbed the critter, and sat up, her head covered in dust from the floor. Her brown hair was a mess of a bun, and she smiled.
"Whooh! Thanks Ness!" she said thankfully, placing the bug on the table. "Now, you stay..right there...kay?" she said, getting eye level with Gerard the cricket. It chirped a bit, and hopped off the table.

Kate sighed. "Crickets just dont listen!" she said, throwing her hands in the air.
