Raiden knocked tentatively on the door of the Headmistress's office before opening it a crack and peeking around the edge. The lady behind the desk looked nice enough... He stepped around the door and closed it, the letter still clenched in his hand behind his back. He really wished he could have read it before handing it off... but his mother had sealed it. He smiled widely at the Headmistress and approached the desk.

"Uhm... Hello, Miss Headmistress Lady," he said, as polite as he could get. "My ah, my mum gave me a letter to give you..."

He held it out, still worried. What if he mum wanted the Headmistress to keep him from classes or something?

I'm writing to you today as a concerned mother. My name is Sun Kururugi, and my son Raiden Jae Kururugi has just been accepted into your school. I objected to his attending your school immediately, but my husband Raizo insisted that we allow him to enroll.

My insistence upon him not attending has nothing to do with the quality of your educators, I promise you that. I've heard nothing but good things about Hogwarts, save a few small incidents that I'm sure were unavoidable. My worry is not about Raiden's education. It is about his health.

Raiden was born in an already weakened state. It is mainly his heart that was affected; when he was born, it was discovered that his tiny heart had five holes in it. He nearly died before they could fix the damage, but they couldn't make it perfect. Raiden's heart is weak. And any sudden jolt, be it of surprise, fear, happiness, anything... could send him into a fit again. He suffers from heart murmurs, palpitations, that make the poor boy faint... or worse. He spent many months in the hospital as a child for this.

I understand that, at your school, things can happen that could possibly send him into such a state... I fought against my husband's decision to allow Raiden to attend, but he turned a blind eye to the possible consequences. I also understand that it's impossible to ask you to set him up with private classes or anything of the like... It is with great difficulty that I admit, I do not know what to do in this situation. It is my hope that you can somehow figure out what I cannot, and find a way that will be safe for my child to learn. Please, if you feel the need, drop me an owl, I'd be more than happy to engage in correspondence with you.

If anything should happen to Raiden, if he should have an attack, please, please... owl me, and I will be there. I do not doubt your hospital wing staff, but some things simply cannot be handled by them, true?

Yours Truly,
Sun Kururugi
Raiden bit his lip nervously. What had his mother written?
