Gwen ambled through the portrait hole, eager to see the common room as it should be at last (even if it might be a little awkward in there from time to time but meh). As the portrait closed behind her, she heard a bark. And a few more barks.
"We're allowed to have dogs?" she asked the room at large. "...Or is it actually a dog?" she said, crossing to a comfy loveseat near the girl's dorm. She plopped her bag beside her and pulled out a pair of knitting needles and a ball of crimson yarn.

It seemed like forever since Torie had been at Hogwarts. It had been another long summer, full of work and very little time for play.
