Alina took a bite of flapjack as Brian mentioned talking to the Minister. She swallowed slowly, before biting her lip. "Well, I think in future the circumstances will be quite different, and easier..." She eyed the papers in his hand, and raised an eyebrow. "More work?" Alina groaned, before laughing. "Well, its a good job I've pretty much done this report then..." She looked curious. "I know you have to see Theo first, but is this Conference related?"
Alina frowned slightly, but it wasn't long before she was smiling again. It wasn't part of her nature to be down. Especially since she knew that there was nothing wrong. "Goodo. I'll have to pop along and give one to Ian later." She put the lid on the tin for the moment, and put it away. "As for tempting recipes, I'm sure I could pass a few on." She eyed Edward, before laughing. "Cookies always good down well..."
Alina felt his hand move, and she moved her gaze to meet his. She grinned, before turning back to the conversation. "New boss?" Alina questioned. She had haalf heartedly applied for that position, not that anyone knew that, so she was interested to know who had taken it up.
Ah, banter between guys. Alina laughed as Brian said about not biting. "Glad to hear it!" she said, taking a sip of her coffee. "Poor friend?" Alina asked teasingly. "You really should make more excuses to come up here then..."
Brian was shaking his right foot as he leaned back of the table on his elbows. The cool cucumber is finally back. It had been a long time since he lost his coolness last time. He nodded at Alina's assurance,
"I hope so, otherwise everyone should face the consequences, including me.." he said as-a-matter-of-fact. He very well knew his top official the Minister.
When Alina asked about the work,
"Oh..I completely forgot that. No..It's not about conference, It's for our employees...just for some change," he said and put the folder on the table which was neatly arranged and categorized.
"Conference is going to start, and I'm assigned for take care of the foreign ministers in the Arrival area along with my fellow Liaison Cambell," he informed them,
"And I need to hurry. I dont like to let Cambell tobe alone since she's new to the department.." he smiled as he ran his hand through the hair.
He took notice of both Alina's frown and Edward's silence. He knew the reason and didnt want to increase it. Honestly he had liked the current atmosphere better than the one before. He decided to ease it more as he said,
"Yeah, I just wanted to surprise my mom with my cooking skill...she always using to tease me on that department. But not her fault, I dont even know how to cook the single breakfast.." he laughed as his shiny wheet teeth sparkled.
"Aw..bear my funny jokes." he paused " I'll come here if i have some time to relax but only if you promise to offer me some coffee. I hope Alina would not mind it.." he was teasing her more.
