"Yeah I know...I'm a total klutz." "Yeah...maybe...so do all of the young witches and wizards go here to learn? Or are some of them like...homeschooled that are far away by their parents? How many wizards and witches are there in the world? There can't be too many, otherwise people would be more informed about them now, wouldn't they? I have a lot of questions." Emalyn giggled and pushed some of her long blonde hair out of her face. She knew that she ought to have worn her hair in a pony tail than letting it be down. "Very good guess," Savannah praised, not recalling mentioning her mother was indeed, a witch. "My dad has two muggleborn sisters; they were friend's of my mum's when they had attended Hogwarts." She said, as to how her parents had met, that was the answer. "Yes, muggles. It's what wizards call non-magical people. So your muggleborn, that's quite interesting to hear about!" Ontop of that, Emalyn seemed to have atleast some knowledge of the school, and wizards in general. Savannah had it in her head she must have read up before her first year, she admired that. "Theres two. A girl and boy, for each house. I'm your female house Prefect, but I'm afraid I can't tell you whom the other is.. I haven't found out myself, yet" Savannah shrugged, trying to ignore that annoying feeling of curiousity trying to take over. She would find out later anyways, and she was patient.. most of the time. "It happens, nothing to feel silly over!"
Savannah grinned, not only did Ema have multiple questions but ideas to go with most of them; She was having fun discussing things with her, "Not every witch and wizard does, there's many other wizarding schools around the world" She began, nodding in agreement as if to non-verbally say she was correct. "Some kids are homeschooled, it works about the same as muggle kids schooling, it's just different in the way of night and day, light and dark; we learn magic and such that will help us in our world, and they learn things that help them in theirs" "I would imagine there's probably an equal amount of both magical and non-magical people all around the world. I'm glad you mentioned that. We're not widely known of because we're careful of keeping ourselves hidden amongst them, I suppose you could say. We have laws and things about no magic around muggles, and say if some naughty teenage wizards were to try playing a practical joke on a muggle that involves any sorts of magic, the ministry of magic has a department that takes care of that." Savannah finished in the simplest way she could think of to explain, hoping that she hadn't confused Ema for the second time tonight. Giggling at her enthusiasm, she said "Well, if I haven't managed to make your head hurt yet feel free to ask me whatever you want and I'll try to clear them up for you," Quote:

Out of the side of his eye, Curt saw an animal scamper from the left and run right under to where Vannah was. Leaning up in his seat a little bit, he tried to catch a glimse of what it was. Finally realizing it was a dog, Curt smiled. "Ah, looks like someone's dog is loose." he said with a laugh, sitting back down because he didn't want to walk around the whole entire Hufflepuff table to go pet it. "I wonder whose it is." Curt said, looking around the Great Hall to see if anyone was searching for a lost pet.
The whole pet subject reminded Curt of something else, something he had been meaning to say to Vannah. The little black kitten that he and his sister had rescued in Godric's Hollow was snug in the common room, and he was sure that Vannah would love her. "Oh, and just wait until we get back into the common room. There someone that wants to meet you." he said with a wry smile, taking a sip from his pumpkin juice. A little too preoccupied with talking and listening to her housemates, Savannah honestly hadn't noticed the dog wonder over till Curt mentioned it. When it knocked into her before that she had thought it was Tiger as usual, but as she felt something pounce on her feet again she was sure it was heavier than the dinky dwarf tabby weighed. Her eyes grew slightly, leaning away from the table and back to see who was attacking her shoes while her boyfriend looked for a possible owner; since Curt didn't seem to recognize it she knew already it wasn't TK. "Ariel" She breathed a sigh of relief. Not that she had been scared of it, there was no chances there. Savannah didn't want there to be a lost pet at all, that would be awful for the animal and owner alike.
Attempting to move her legs out of the way, the sixth year straightened up long enough to grab a roll and tear a piece off. "It's Frederic's dog, Lexi got her as a present for him last year" Savannah said in a slightly hushed voice, trying not to make the dog playing with her feet obvious. She frowned, shifting in her seat to look at the pup. With her hand under the table (and her other holding onto the edge of the table so she wouldn't slip under herself) she held out a piece of bread, trying to draw the pup's attention towards her. "Ariel, what are you doing over here you silly girl?" She murmured, not caring one bit the dog couldn't talk back; Savannah didn't doubt animals intelligence in understanding what humans said. "Your owner is going to have a fit you came to me of all people" Oh boy. Where was Alexis? Maybe she could return the dog to her fellow Gryffindor.. maybe it would have been better if it was a lost dog after all. "Tiger, cool it" She warned, eying the grumpy expression on the felines face. He was a little too territorial of this table. Now that she had decided to keep an eye on the pup and return her after the feast if she didn't see Frederic sooner, Savannah situated herself properly on the bench again. Breaking off another piece of bread to offer Ariel from under the table, which she tried doing casually, Savannah's eyebrows raised, a curious look washing over her face. "Now I want to go to the common room even more than I had before," She admitted, studying the look on Curt's face for any possible hint as to who or what it could be. "Your not going to tell me till we get there, are you?"
