Dumont stifled a chuckle, hearing more hearty banter between two other staff members, a professor and the very young nurse intern. Having spent the entire time between terms by himself, it was good to be around others once again. He watched as others began to join in to a card game. The camaraderie this group had together was wonderful. Would he fit in? He hoped so. He sincerely wanted to turn things around for the better and not become lost in a cloud of pessimism.
