Neville Longbottom hated Christmas. Maybe it was because on his 9th Christmas, he had gotten coal in his stocking for looking at his Great Uncle Algie's adult magazines. Or his 4th Christmas when he found out that Santa was really a homeless guy who did it for the money. But that's another story. Neville looked down at the invitation:

You're Invited!
What: A dinner party.
When: Christmas Eve
Where: The Room of Requirement
Why: Draco Malfoy feels the need to become more acquainted with his fellow students.
Other Information: Starts at 7:00 and ends at 9:00. Two hours of food friends and karaoke!
Wow. Wait... karaoke? Malfoy? Dinner parties? What kind of nitwit held dinner parties? But he glanced around and saw most of the kids in his year holding similar pieces of paper.
"So, Neville, you gonna go?" he heard Seamus say.
"I don't know, it seems kind of odd..." Neville replied.
"Yeah, it does, but I can't imagine Malfoy singin', that'd be a sight. I think I'll go, if just to see that." he said.
"Yeah. That would be something. I think I'll go too." he concluded.
