Horses Forever! l l Writer for Life l Yearbook alumnus Room of Requirement 35. Quietus
“We’ll have to make a dash for it when they come,” Draco heard Blaise whisper in his ear.
“And get ourselves killed?” he scoffed. “Running into plain view of a bunch of Death Eaters, now that they know we’ve betrayed them?”
“So what do you propose, stay here and wait until they discover us?”
“Nobody will find us, they don’t know where we are, remember? It’s the Room of Requirement!”
“All they’d need to do is think that they want to be in the place where we are now.”
Draco stared hard at his friend. “I never told anyone about this room’s existence, and considering my Father never mentioned it, he doesn’t know. Don’t tell me you told your parents about it?”
“Well, it, uh… might have slipped out…”
“Blaise! If you would have told me earlier, I’d have told them to meet us elsewhere! How are we meant to spy on them and not get caught if they most probably know where…”
“Shuttup!” Blaise drew his wand, head cocked as he listened hard. “Quietus.”
Even Draco’s breathing seemed quieter as he stood, perfectly silent, listening to the approaching footsteps of what sounded like at least a dozen men.
