I just want us to be friends. If in the future our friendship grows closer then i have to say that i wouldn't mind having you as one of my best friends."Stopping to eat her muffin Erica wondered if Maggie understood what she meant. The words hadn't come out exactly how she had wanted, but she couldn't change that now. Shifting her gaze to Maggie she said, her eyes sparkeling Quidditch is a lot of fun when you get the hang of it. The thrill of riding a broom in the air is amazing. Have you flied before? Do you know what gobstones is?" Erica sat and listened silentley as also Maggie offered to help guide Kairi and Rosa around the castle to classes and events. Erica nodded and said practical "It's all right. I'll get to see Natka in class and on other occasions. Her not being sorted into Gryffindor is not the end of the world. It will be interesting to here if Ravenclaw house is different from Gryffindor." Pouring herself some pumpkin juice she continued "I didn't really know where the sorting hat would place me. My father and aunt were sorted into Gryffindor and my mother was a Ravenclaw. So i could have been placed in either house." Sipping on her juice Erica thought about her mother wondering how she was doing. Being at Hogwarts she wouldn't get to visit her mother until christmas. Shrugging she smiled weakley at Shaylee saying "I'm looking forward to classes, meeting new friends and hopefully playing quidditch."
"So you can play against me?" Natka asked Erica, sneaking up behind her with a smile.
She had sat alone a the Ravenclaw table for a while but, getting bored after a couple of minutes, decided to see if she could spot her friends at their house table. Everyone else was mingling, after all, so she saw no reason to stay put the entire evening. Besides, she felt rather curious about the other houses - were they ll very different from each other?
Having friends in Gryffindor meant she'd have an easier job of finding that out.
