"I really do hope so, or this year will be a horror!" she grinned to Maura.
"By the way, have you met Winter yet?" She nodded toward the her other new friend.

Winter ate some of her mashed potatoes then said "Yes, I know what you mean I"m beat, too." Winter pushed her plate away. She really wasn't hungry anymore she wanted to talk want to know more about her new friend so she decided to ask Patty some questions. "Hey, Patty what do you like to do for fun?" she asked.
Patricia thought for a moment,
"I collect chocolate frog cards, listen to music, both magical and muggle. I like to draw; i have this cool artist's box my uncle Ernie gave me. It has lots of paint brushes, oils, pastels... the works!" she said in one breath.
"How about you..." as she was finishing asking Winter about her own pastimes, Patricia suddenly felt something land on her shoulder with a soft splat. Turning her head, she saw a blob of mashed potatoes just sitting there; looking further, she saw something of a food fight starting off down the table.
"Oh nooooo!" She frowned at the mess it was causing.
