Bree didn't have time to say anything to Cale but she did make a mental note to look into these tryouts. It did sound like fun. And this Cassandra person didn't sound very nice. She never liked school nurses anyway. They were usually useless and mean and sometimes the bad ones were unnecessarily cruel. She also reminded herself to remember not to get sick or injured while here.
Then Jason pulled Cale and Anna aside. Oh dear. He might be trying to get her in trouble. And she'd just started getting along with them too. She sincerely hoped he was just talking about his back. They had moved too so she couldn't tell what they were saying. She looked helplessly around hoping that if Jason wasn't being nice about her then she would melt into the bench beneath her.
Having spotted Bree from across the hall, Mariel decided to saunter over to the Gryffindor table to say... well, exactly what, she wasn't sure yet. She did know that she found Bree somewhat interesting and had decided she would find out what was so intriguing about the girl, one way or another.
She stopped behind the person sitting next to Bree.
"Budge up?" Then she squeezed herself into the space between the two to sit down. Mariel tilted her head and gave Bree a considering look before speaking.
"So, got sorted into Gryffindor, did you? I wondered what happened to you."
